Challenge: Building Leadership Capability at Scale

As the client expanded its global footprint, it needed to strengthen its leadership pipeline across all management levels. The business required a consistent approach to leadership that aligned with its values, improved business performance, and supported leaders in a demanding commercial environment.

The client sought a solution that was modular, scalable, and able to deliver both measurable ROI and behavioural change.

Approach: Tailored, In-Person Modular Delivery

LSP Leadership partnered with the client to co-create an 18-month leadership development programme. It reached 250 leaders across three levels of the organisation up to their senior leadership team.

Programme Design: Structured for Reflection, Practice and Impact

The leadership development programme followed a carefully phased structure, combining insight, application and strategic alignment.

Pre-Work

Participants began with self-led preparation to ground their learning in personal and business context. This included an Insights psychometric questionnaire, reflective reading, and conversations with their line manager or MD to identify development priorities and key business challenges.

Module 1 (2 Days): Foundations of Leadership

The first module explored the internal dimensions of leadership. Sessions focused on:

  • Leadership mindset and self-awareness
  • Neuroscience, motivators and behavioural insight
  • Empathy, assertiveness, and resilience
  • Situational leadership
  • Time management and structured feedback

Module 2 (2 Days): Leading Others and Driving Performance

The second module built on foundational learning, shifting focus to influence, coaching, and team effectiveness:

  • Coaching theory and live coaching practice
  • Delegation and influence strategies
  • Building high-performing teams
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Presentation skills and action planning

Post-Work

After the formal modules, participants engaged in self-directed learning and application. This phase included:

  • 1:1 coaching with their MD or line manager
  • Ongoing reflection and integration
  • A structured follow-up process to ensure learning translated into action

Throughout the programme, participants were encouraged to connect their learning to both personal goals and live business challenges, creating a clear link between development and organisational value.
