About the Client

A not-for-profit housing trust, supporting a broad range of communities through its housing services and community development initiatives. The organisation’s leadership team was entering a period of transition and needed support to clarify strategic direction, strengthen team cohesion, and lead with greater intent.

Challenge: Align senior leadership around purpose and strategy during a period of organisational transition

With a newly appointed Chair of the Board and an ambitious agenda ahead, the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) recognised the need for greater alignment across directorates. They were seeking clarity on purpose, roles and responsibilities, and a stronger sense of collective ownership for the organisation’s future direction.

The goal was to create a high-performing leadership team capable of leading change, working cohesively, and holding one another accountable - while fostering a culture in which people felt informed, engaged and well led.

What We Did

Working closely with the CEO and SLT, LSP designed a structured development process combining individual and collective work. This included:

  • One-to-one coaching conversations with SLT members
  • MBTI profiling and 360-degree feedback
  • Interviews with key stakeholders, including the Chair of the Board
  • Targeted support on strategic alignment and decision-making
  • Facilitated away days for the SLT and wider management team

The process created space for reflection and practical action. Sessions were structured to help leaders clarify their purpose, increase awareness of themselves and one another, and create a shared ethos that could be embedded across the organisation.

The impact was felt at every level. The organisation now has a clearly articulated purpose and direction, signed off by the Board and understood across all directorates. There is a shared language in place that links strategy and delivery.
